Accomplishments: Was in Squidward's band, beat King Neptune at a patty contest, competed in the fry cook games, scared the Flying Dutchman, foiled many of Plankton's plans, worked with Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, launched Sandy's rocket, went to live among the jellyfish once, became the Employee of the Month 26 months in a row, found the Flying Dutchman's treasure with Mr. Krabs and Patrick, escaped from the Flying Dutchman's ship, won the Conch Alarm, was promoted for a short amount of time twice, became a member of the Jellyspotters, survived a minute on land, escaped an Alaskan Bull Worm, became a fancy waiter, turned into a superhero, got into the Salty Spitoon

Patrick is Spongebob's best friend, and is a very main character on the show. He is extremely stupid.
Squidward Tentacles
Lives: In an Easter Island head
Species: Squid
Gender: Male
Friends: None (yikes!)
Work: Cashier at the Krusty Krab
Accomplishments: Started a band and played in the bubble bowl with it, travelled to the future, the past, and the space-time continium, opened an art class at the rec center, tricked Spongebob and Patrick into thinking he was a ghost, turned into a superhero.
Most prized posession: His clarinet
Squidward is a main character on the show, and, uh, dislikes Spongebob and Patrick. He's very grumpy and always playing his clarinet, which he is horrible at.
Eugene H. Krabs
Lives: In a giant anchor
Species: Crab
Gender: Male
Friends: He probably has some, but we never find out.
Work: Owner of the Krusty Krab
Accomplishments: Was in Squidward's band, defeated Plankton numerous times, opened the Krusty Krab.
Most prized posession: MONEY!
Krabs is a very important character on the show. He likes Spongebob, but Spongebob gets on his nerves sometimes. He's also the greediest creature under the sea, and Pearl is his daughter.

Lives: In Spongebob's pineapple
Species: Snail
Gender: Male... I think?
Friends: None, unless you count Spongebob and Patrick. But what do you expect? He's a pet.
Work: He's a pet, he doesn't work.
Accomplishments: Rid Spongebob's house of a swarm of jellyfish

Gary is Spongebob's pet snail. He meows like a cat. Spongebob can understand him, but we can only hear what he says in Sleepy Time and he says "No" in The Secret Box.
Sandy Cheeks

Species: Squirrel

Friends: Spongebob, Patrick, Larry
Work: She probably works somewhere, but nobody knows
Accomplishments: Escaped the Alaskan Bull Worm, turned into a superhero, was hired once at the Krusty Krab, defeated the Alaskan Bull Worm's tounge, won the Bikkini Bottom anchor toss competition.

Sandy is a squirrel from Texas who moved underwater for unknown reasons. She always has to wear a space suit and an air helmet to go out of her treedome, and any water creatures who go in her treedome have to wear a water helmet or they'll dry out.
Plankton

Gender: Male
Friends: None, except in the episode "F.U.N." where he befriends Spongebob
Work: Owner of the Chum Bucket
Accomplishments: Nearly stole the Krabby Patty secret formula a number of times, owns a laboratory, programmed a Computer Wife, impersonated Mr. Krabs, created a life-switcher and switched lives with Mr. Krabs
Most prized posession: His Computer Wife
Plankton is a tiny little man, and his size usually seems to work to his disadvantage. He is the smartest character on the show, though he doesn't use that for good.

Pearl is a dolphin. She's in high school and the most popular kid around, but often embarrased by her father.

Friends: Barnacle Boy, Spongebob, probably some others but they're not main characters
Work: Superhero
Accomplishments: Defeated Manray and the Dirty Bubble numerous times, Barnacle Boy became evil once
Most prized posession: Their costumes probably, that's what gives them their super-powers
They're Bikkini Bottom's superheroes, and when not fighting crime, they are at the Shady Shoals retirement home.
Scooter

Gender: Male
Friends: Spongebob, many others but they're not main characters
Work: ??? Accomplishments: Was killed in the episode "Bubble Buddy" but was somehow ressurected for later episodes ;)

Scooter is a purple fish who surfs a lot and has a weird laugh.
Mrs. Puff

Mrs. Puff is a boating school instructor. She tries to get Spongebob to pass his boating exam in many episodes, but he can never seem to do it.

Mr. and Mrs. Squarepants are Spongebob's loving parents. They only appear in a few episodes.

Accomplishments: Saved Spongebob and Patrick from drowning, threw an anchor 210 yards.

Larry is a lifeguard on the beach. Spongebob annoys him a lot, but he still likes him.

Manray and the Dirty Bubble are enemies of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. They try to destroy the city.
The Flying Dutchman

The Flying Dutchman is a bad ghost, but not completely evil. Infact, in "Your Shoe's Untied" he tried to help Spongebob tie his shoes.
